Biography
In 1855, Diantha married Edward Durham Price and they purchased a farm in Woodhouse Township, Ontario. The farm was located East of Port Dover and consisted of a half section which ran down to Lake Erie. It was here that the couple raised their ten children: Velma Ann, Hannah Viola, Walter Edward, Caniff William, Erie, Ernest Albert, Mary, George, Clara, and James Stewart.
After Edward died in 1880, Diantha continued to keep the farm and followed the specific instructions her husband had left on raising the children and managing their finances.
Diantha passed away from meningitis on 8 May 1901 at the age of 66. She was buried with Edward in Port Dover Cemetery and the family estate was divided between their surviving children.
